Melbourne fans, get ready – Stereophonics are returning to Australia for the first time since 2019 with their largest tour Down Under to date, and it includes a stop at the iconic Palais Theatre on Monday, October 20.
The legendary Welsh rockers will headline the Australia Spring Tour 2025, a global stadium-sized journey set to play to more than 600,000 fans worldwide.
Celebrating three decades of hits, Stereophonics will deliver a career-spanning set packed with crowd favourites like ‘Dakota’, ‘Have A Nice Day’, and ‘Maybe Tomorrow’, as well as fresh material from their new album Make ‘em Laugh, Make ‘em Cry, Make ‘em Wait. The new record continues their legacy of emotionally rich songwriting, driven by Kelly Jones’ unmistakable vocals and introspective storytelling.
Formed in the South Wales village of Cwmaman in the early ’90s, Stereophonics broke through with their debut album Word Gets Around in 1997. Their gritty, melodic sound quickly earned them acclaim and commercial success, paving the way for a string of UK chart-toppers including Performance and Cocktails, Just Enough Education to Perform, and Language. Sex. Violence. Other?
Over the years, they’ve notched nine UK #1 albums, sold more than 10 million records, earned a BRIT Award, and built one of the most loyal fan bases in British rock.
The Palais Theatre show is one of only four Australian dates, with stops in Sydney, Brisbane, and Fremantle rounding out the national run. With their stellar reputation as a must-see live act, Melbourne is in for a night of powerful anthems, nostalgia, and unforgettable energy.
Tickets go on sale Thursday, June 19 at 12pm, with presales available for fans and Mastercard holders in the days prior. For full details, visit livenation.com.au.
