Lager lovers, your time has come. On Saturday 5 July, KAIJU! Beer – the boundary-pushing independent brewery behind this year’s Best Australian Style Lager winner – opens its Huntingdale home for Lager LoveFest, a masterclass celebrating beer’s most underrated style.
Hosted at KAIJU! Beer & Pizza, the session features award-winning brewer Nat Reeves (whose Cerveza Crisp Lager took top honours at the 2025 Australian International Beer Awards) and craft beer writer Will Ziebell for an unfiltered look at lager’s craft beer renaissance.
“It’s clean, it’s technical and it’s criminally underappreciated — but that’s finally changing,” says Reeves of the brothers’ innovative approach that’s made KAIJU! one of Melbourne’s most exciting breweries.
