Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue’s most iconic music video costumes are being showcased in a dazzling new exhibition at the Australian Music Vault at the Arts Centre, Melbourne.
Kylie Minogue: The Music Videos features six legendary outfits spanning three decades of the superstar’s career, offering fans an intimate look at how fashion has shaped her unforgettable pop persona.
From the dress that appeared to change colour of 1989’s “Hand On Your Heart” to the futuristic Dolce & Gabbana ensemble from 2004’s “I Believe In You,” the display charts Minogue’s artistic evolution through her most memorable visual moments.

“The format of music videos – with special effects, lighting and editing – allowed Minogue to experiment with more adventurous costumes, themes and narratives that would be otherwise difficult to convey in live performance,” explains Australian Music Vault curator Olivia Jackson.
Among the standout pieces is the iconic white hooded jumpsuit from 2001’s global smash “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” designed by Fee Doran and inspired by Grace Jones’ androgynous style.
The 1997 “Did It Again” outfit represents one of four personas Minogue portrayed in the video, reflecting media perceptions of her at the time.
“The display explores select moments from Kylie’s artistic evolution over the years,” Jackson adds. “Kylie’s music videos have left an indelible mark on her legions of fans, and this display provides an opportunity to have a close interaction with iconic costumes from these videos.”
The exhibition also features the glamourous mob wife-inspired dress from 2000’s “On A Night Like This” and the ethereal ensemble from 2010’s “All The Lovers,” showcasing Minogue’s ability to reinvent her image while maintaining her signature style.
Located in Arts Centre Melbourne’s Theatres Building, the Australian Music Vault is a free exhibition developed in collaboration with the music industry as part of the Victorian Government’s Music Works strategy.
Kylie Minogue: The Music Videos is now open to the public at the Australian Music Vault within Arts Centre Melbourne. The exhibition runs indefinitely, with free admission for all visitors.
