Following a string of sold-out shows at the Sydney Opera House and State Theatre, three-time ARIA Award-winning ensemble Monsieur Camembert are bringing their celebrated genre-bending tribute Cohen Noir: The Beauty, Mystery and Romance of Leonard Cohen to Victoria this August.
Far from a traditional tribute, Cohen Noir reimagines the iconic songwriter’s work through an exhilarating blend of jazz, tango, swing, Latin and more, layered with rare audio of Cohen himself.
This lush, cinematic experience is performed by Monsieur Camembert’s virtuosic 10-piece band and a stunning rotating lineup of guest vocalists from across Australia’s musical spectrum.
Victorian audiences will be treated to powerhouse performances by Rebecca Barnard, Rob Snarski, Nina Ferro and Brian Campeau when the tour kicks off on Friday, August 1 at Bendigo’s Ulumbarra Theatre. The show then heads to St Kilda’s National Theatre on Saturday, August 2 and wraps its Victorian run at the West Gippsland Arts Centre in Warragul on Sunday, August 3.
Cohen Noir is not just a performance — it’s an immersive and ever-evolving homage to one of the greatest lyricists of our time. For fans of Cohen or adventurous live music, this is a must-see. Tickets on sale now
