A new kind of decadence is landing in Brunswick this August as Mary Eats Cake unveils a one-of-a-kind Dubai chocolate-inspired high tea at their charming Sydney Road tearooms.
Known for their whimsical take on the traditional high tea, the Melbourne favourite is stepping things up with a limited-edition menu that blends viral dessert flavours with Mary’s signature flair.

Expect bold notes of chocolate, pistachio and silky cream, with menu standouts like kataifi-crumbed cheese croquettes, a smooth chicken and pistachio roll, and the pièce de résistance: a luxurious Dubai Chocolate entremet. Of course, no visit to Mary Eats Cake is complete without a fluffy scone – here it’s elevated with white chocolate and pistachio crème.

The Dubai chocolate craze has taken the dessert world by storm, with its signature blend of rich chocolate, pistachio, and creamy textures capturing hearts (and stomachs) across the globe. Originating from viral videos showcasing its indulgent layers, the trend has inspired bakeries and and confectioners from Dubai to Melbourne.

Priced from $89pp, this indulgent experience is available Wednesdays to Sundays, with special twilight sessions on August 2 and 9. Vegetarian and Halal options are available, ensuring everyone can enjoy the deliciousness.
Mary Eats Cake has built a loyal following for its inventive menus, vintage-chic interiors and warm service. But this August, it’s all about chocolate dreams and pistachio indulgence.
