The Croxton Bandroom is turning 10 and it’s pulling out all the stops. Introducing The Croxton Block Party, a massive two-day festival in the venue’s carpark across the road, set to electrify Thornbury and Northcote on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 November 2025.
With a stacked lineup that celebrates a decade of live music at The Croxton, this block party is shaping up to be one of Melbourne’s most memorable local festivals.
Saturday night headliners include the irrepressibly chaotic Tropical Fuck Storm, backed by Cash Savage and the Last Drinks, Grace Cummings, Party Dozen, EXEK, Npcede, and new project Loose Lips, featuring members of The Chats and The Prize.
As Gareth Liddiard of Tropical Fuck Storm puts it: “Like a mini weekend festival with super cool bands smack bang in the middle of Thornbury and Northcote… It’s going to be huge.”
Sunday brings Australian music royalty: Spiderbait, Ratcat celebrating 35 years of their Tingles EP, and radiant indie-rock group Floodlights. Joining them are energetic young acts Sex Mask, Girl and Girl, and local sixties‑inspired favourites The Gnomes kicking off the day.
This isn’t just a gig – it’s a homecoming. From hosting early sets by crowd-favourites like DZ Deathrays, G Flip and The Chats, to launching international acts like Idles, King Gizzard and Black Midi to Australian stages, The Croxton has shaped Melbourne’s music DNA.
As venue booker Andrew Parisi reflects: “We had to start fresh… but more than anything else, we’re proud to have been a home to local heroes… and part of the essential DNA of this city.”
Grab your tickets when general public sale opens Wednesday 6 August at 10 am via thecroxton.com.au, with limited presale tickets available now on Oztix.
Expect food trucks, cold drinks, merch stalls and a party atmosphere that feels both grand and truly grassroots. It’s a festival-sized thank you to Melbourne’s music lovers – and to the venue that helped bring live music home.
