The Melbourne Royal Show is set to return next month with cheaper prices for early bird buyers, and food from as little as $3.50.
Running from Thursday 25 September to Sunday 5 October, the 11-day event will pack in rides, showbags, animals and a few new surprises for 2025.
Children under five get in free, while early bird tickets will cost $39.60 for adults and $20.80 for kids – less than last year.
“We have listened to customer feedback and not increased general admission tickets this year, we are offering bigger savings on early bird tickets, and introduced a Flexi-Ticket for those who want to get their ticket early but are unsure which day they may attend,” Melbourne Royal chief executive Brad Jenkins told the Herald Sun.
The price freeze is all about keeping “the magic of the show accessible for all Victorians.”
With more than 400 showbags, 55 rides, 80 food and drink outlets and an expected 400,000 visitors, it’s still the same huge day out – but now with a few fresh additions.
This year’s big reveals include the never-before-seen Lego Duplo Farm and a new world-class Illusionist show. The Little Farmers Field will again let kids get hands-on, feeding baby animals, shearing sheep, collecting eggs, digging up vegies and riding a Kubota tractor.
A new daily farmers’ barbecue will dish up $3.50 sausages, with proceeds going to the Melbourne Royal Foundation. Food trucks will also offer a healthy option under $10.
Unlimited ride passes on day one are $50 for kids under 120cm, $75 for everyone else. And yes — the beloved $5 Bertie Beetle Showbag is back.
