It’s been 25 years since Teenage Dirtbag first landed, and somehow, the anthem is bigger than ever. Now, Wheatus are heading back to Australia and making their long-awaited New Zealand debut in January 2026 with a tour that promises nostalgia, noise and plenty of singalongs.
In Melbourne they’ll be playing at 170 Russell on 22 January 2026.
Their self-titled debut album will be played in full each night, giving fans the chance to relive the era that made “I’ve got two tickets to Iron Maiden, baby” a lyric burned into collective memory. But that’s not all – true to tradition, the band will also take requests from the crowd, dipping into their three-decade catalogue for deep cuts and fan favourites.

Teenage Dirtbag has had a wild afterlife. It’s gone viral on TikTok, picked up over two billion views under #teenagedirtbag, and inspired posts from celebs like Lady Gaga, Lil Nas X and Jon Bon Jovi. It’s soundtracked shows like Big Mouth and Cruel Summer, even re-entering the UK Top 40 in 2023.
Fresh off tours with Bowling For Soup and festival slots alongside Blink-182, Paramore and Muse, Wheatus are sharper than ever. Expect sweat, riffs and a band that knows exactly how much this music still means.
So grab two tickets, and don’t say maybe. Tickets available via www.teamwrktouring.com
