British pop icon Sophie Ellis-Bextor is bringing her glossy disco pop to Australia in February 2026. Fans will be treated to a mix of noughties favourites and new anthems from her latest album, Perimenopop.
In Melbourne, you can catch her at The Forum on 6 February 2026.
Hailed as “the queen of disco pop” by DIY, Ellis-Bextor has been a defining voice in pop music since the early 2000s. She first emerged with Brit-pop band Theaudience, whose debut album reached #22 on the UK charts.

Following the band’s breakup, she launched a solo career, producing iconic hits like “Murder On The Dancefloor”, “Get Over You” and “Take Me Home”. Her 2001 album Read My Lips, blending ’80s-influenced synth-pop and disco, reached number two in the UK and charted across the globe.
Perimenopop, released last week, celebrates Ellis-Bextor’s enduring love of pop music, featuring singles “Taste” and “Dolce Vita”. Speaking on the album, it’s a playful reflection of where she is in life, embracing joy and empowerment.
Known for feel-good live shows, Sophie has performed at Glastonbury, Latitude and Australia’s Splendour In The Grass, as well as supporting George Michael and Pet Shop Boys. After a pop culture resurgence in 2023, following “Murder On The Dancefloor” appearing in the cult film Saltburn and being covered by Royel Otis, Sophie continues to captivate both long-time fans and a new generation.
Australian-born, English-based indie pop singer Holiday Sidewinder will join Sophie on all shows except Perth, bringing her synth-driven disco vibes to the tour.
Presale begins Wednesday 17 September at 10am, with general tickets available Thursday 18 September via Untitled.
