The AFL has announced the return of the Grand Final Footy Festival at Yarra Park, running from Wednesday 24 September to Saturday 27 September. Entry is free, and this year’s festival promises more action, more laughs, and plenty of footy fever outside the MCG.
Geelong premiership player Zach Tuohy is already circling it on his calendar. “I will definitely be bringing the family down to the Footy Fest this year, it’s such a great event and there’s something for everyone!” he said.
“Hopefully the Cats are playing in the Grand Final for an even a bigger and better Grand Final week!”
The festival hub returns with The Pub, hosted by Carlton Draught, opening from Preliminary Final weekend. Expect trivia nights with Grand Final tickets up for grabs, bingo during the Brownlow broadcast, live music, and a Grand Final Day watch party.
Fans can also meet AFL and AFLW heroes, snap selfies with the 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership Cup, and enjoy family-friendly activations from Coles, Telstra, Virgin Australia, and more.
New for 2025 are the Toyota Legendary Dodgems – free club-themed bumper cars in Yarra Park – alongside the AFL Superstore where fans can get their Sherrins personally engraved. The TCL Main Stage will pump out live shows daily, while kids can burn energy at the AFL Play Zone, Healthy Kicks, or bounce at the AAMI Centre Circle.
AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Consumer Bec Haagsma called it “a highlight for fans who descend upon the precinct from all over the country to immerse themselves in the biggest week on the footy calendar.”
