The AFL, in partnership with the Victorian Government, has confirmed the 2025 Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade will take place on Friday 26 September, with an expanded program and new features designed to elevate the fan experience.
The Parade will again see the two Grand Final teams travel in Toyota HiLux vehicles along a fan-friendly route through the Melbourne Park precinct, Birrarung Marr and over the William Barak Bridge before finishing at Yarra Park. The day will culminate with the official presentation of the teams and the Premiership Cup on the Macca’s Footy Fest stage at midday.

Entertainment kicks off from 9.00am at Birrarung Marr, with DJs and emcees setting the scene ahead of the procession. Melbourne Park Oval will again be a hub for families, offering food stalls, live music, appearances from AFL legends and a big screen to capture every moment.
The 2025 Parade will also highlight the broader football community, with NAB AFLW representatives and Toyota AFL Open athletes joining the motorcade for the first time.
AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial Bec Haagsma said the event remains one of the most popular traditions in footy. “The Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade is an iconic family-friendly event each year and in 2025 we’ll be enhancing the experience at Birrarung Marr, creating three incredible viewing opportunities for parade-goers,” she said.
Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos said the Parade showcases the state at its best. “Victoria is the major events capital of the nation and footy finals is one of the best times of year,” he said.
The Parade will be broadcast exclusively on Fox Footy, with thousands expected to line the route.
