Bernard Fanning is returning to stages across Australia in 2026 to mark 20 years since the release of his landmark debut solo album Tea & Sympathy. The celebrated singer-songwriter will perform the record in full alongside fan favourites when he embarks on a national tour in February and March.
The anniversary tour will kick off in Adelaide before travelling through Perth, the Sunshine Coast, Cairns, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Thirroul, Canberra, Melbourne and the Gold Coast. It follows Fanning’s sold-out anniversary concert at Brisbane’s QPAC on October 31, where he performed the album in its entirety for the first time in two decades.
Melbourne fans will be able to catch him at the Palais in St Kilda on 27 March 2026.
“It’s such a privilege to have made a record that people connected with on such a deep, personal level,” Fanning said.
” I have had so many people tell me that it changed their lives. As an artist that is one of the things that you hope for. Playing these songs live has always been a communal experience, with the audience sharing in both the intimacy and the full-throated sing-along glory of the songs,” he said.
Joining him on tour will be Ball Park Music’s Sam Cromack and All Our Exes Live in Texas’ Georgia Mooney, both acclaimed solo artists in their own right.
“Having Sam and Georgia along just triples the fun,” Fanning said. “It’s such a joy to be taking another lap around our country to play Tea & Sympathy again. We’ve got most of the original band back together and can’t wait to play this record front to back in some of the country’s most iconic venues.”
Originally released in 2005, Tea & Sympathy debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart, earning Fanning three ARIA Awards and APRA’s Songwriter of the Year in 2006. To mark the milestone, 20th anniversary vinyl and CD editions featuring rare archival material are out now.
Presale begins November 3, with general tickets on sale November 5.
