Melbourne fans are about to get thunderstruck all over again, with AC/DC bringing their official pop-up merch store to Fitzroy ahead of the band’s massive PWR/UP tour.
Set to open at The Royal Derby on Brunswick Street, the pop-up will run from Tuesday 11 November to Sunday 16 November, with extended hours on show days to coincide with AC/DC’s Melbourne performances at the ‘G.
It’s the only place fans can get their hands on exclusive, limited-edition tour merchandise and special releases before the rock legends hit the stage.
The band’s official site teases that the store will give visitors the chance to “discover legendary tour props, and snag exclusive merch – including limited-edition vinyl you won’t find anywhere else.” Among those props are some of AC/DC’s most iconic symbols, including the tour cannon and the infamous Hell’s Bell.
The pop-up follows a growing trend of major artists opening short-run retail experiences during their tours, and it’s clear AC/DC knows how to give fans something extra to shout about.
Whether you’re after a collectible tee, rare vinyl, or just want to soak up the atmosphere surrounded by fellow fans, the Fitzroy store promises a dose of classic AC/DC energy before the amps even fire up.
