Melbourne’s love affair with good food and drink will be on full display next autumn, with the Wine & Cheese Fest locked in for its 13th outing.

The popular tasting event returns on Saturday 14 March 2026, taking over The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne for a full day dedicated to Australian wine, artisan cheese and gourmet producers. Designed for casual sippers and serious food lovers alike, the festival offers an easy, all-in-one way to sample a wide range of local flavours.

Across the day, attendees can enjoy unlimited tastings from boutique wineries, independent cheese makers and specialty food producers, with plenty of opportunity to discover new favourites or revisit familiar names. A take-home wine glass and tote bag are included with entry, making it easy to wander between stalls without missing a pour.
Beyond the tastings, the program also features free masterclasses for those keen to learn more about pairing, production and flavour profiles. Live DJs will provide a relaxed soundtrack throughout the day, while the always-popular Grape Stomp Competition adds a playful edge to the proceedings.

Now firmly established as a fixture on Melbourne’s food and wine calendar, the Wine & Cheese Fest continues to attract a crowd looking for good produce, good company and a laid-back atmosphere. With everything under one roof, it is well suited to groups of friends planning a long lunch that turns into an afternoon session.
Tickets are on sale now via wineandcheesefest.com.au for those ready to sip, swirl and savour.
