New York trio the Fun Lovin’ Criminals are heading back down under for the first time in more than a decade. Celebrating their seventh studio album A Matter of Time they’re coming to three Australian cities in March 2026.
In Melbourne, fans will be able to catch them at The Prince on Friday 13 March.

The band is known for blending hip hop, funk, rock and jazz into a laid-back, streetwise sound that feels instantly familiar. Formed in the early 1990s, they broke through with their 1996 debut album Come Find Yourself, featuring the enduring hit Scooby Snacks. They became known for clever lyrics, cinematic references and smooth grooves that sat somewhere between alternative rock and cool café hip hop
Conceived by founding member/producer Brian ‘Fast’ Leiser and drummer Frank Benbini, A Matter of Time marks a bold return to the band’s roots. Mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Tim Latham, the new record stays true to the “this here song” philosophy that has earned the band a massive cult following since the 1990s.
“Our fans have been wanting to hear new music from us for years,” says drummer Frank Benbini.
“We have a renewed creative freedom… Fun Lovin’ Criminals are not going anywhere – except on tour.”
