Spiegel Haus Melbourne is set to become one of the most entertaining stops of the Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2026, with four weeks of comedy, circus, magic and family-friendly shows unfolding across the Empire Tent and Spiegeltent.
Running from late March through to mid April, the program brings together an eclectic mix of performers, from sharp stand-up and wine-fuelled storytelling to high-energy circus, science chaos and jaw-dropping magic. Whether you are heading out with friends, entertaining visiting family or planning a daytime show with kids, Spiegel Haus offers something for every taste.
Merrick Watts returns with An Idiot’s Guide to Wine: Volume 3, combining six hand-picked wines with his trademark humour and genuine passion for all things vino. Equal parts tasting session and comedy show, it is a relaxed festival favourite that pairs perfectly with an afternoon session.
Circus lovers can catch Elixir Revived, a post-apocalyptic circus comedy packed with acrobatics, physical humour and award-winning stunts, or CIRCUS The Show, a reimagined family spectacular filled with aerialists, jugglers and illusion. Both shows deliver big visual moments in a high-energy format.
Families are well catered for with Dr Hubble’s Brilliant Bubbles, The Greatest Magic Show and Magnus Danger Magnus in KABOOM!, each bringing laughter, spectacle and interactive fun for kids and adults alike throughout the April school holidays.
Comedy fans can also lock in David Quirk’s Quintessential Quomedy Quollective, a stand-up showcase with a lineup to be announced, and The Fun Haus, a weekly comedy night curated by Carl Donnelly featuring festival favourites and surprise guests.
Beyond the stage, Spiegel Haus Melbourne offers city views, tasting tacos, quality drinks and a lively atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in for the night.
