This spring, Queen Victoria Market will once again come alive with the sights, sounds and tastes of the Fringe Flavours Night Market. Teaming up with Melbourne Fringe Festival, the market will host five Wednesday nights of entertainment and eats, running from 17 September to 15 October between 5pm and 10pm.

The market’s open-air sheds will be buzzing with energy as a pop-up stage showcases a rotating line-up of circus, cabaret, comedy and live music. Roving performers will weave through the crowds, bringing a playful, unpredictable spirit to the evening. The partnership with Melbourne Fringe ensures every week will offer something fresh, experimental and distinctly Melbourne.
Foodies can look forward to an eclectic spread from local vendors. Swirle will tempt sweet tooths with chocolate-dipped strawberries, while Crème Brûlée Donuts deliver custard-filled treats with a caramelised crunch.

Savoury fans can tuck into lemongrass skewers at Flaming Skewers, bold burgers at Smashville, and rich arancini from The Arancini Mann. Dumplings, Spanish-inspired dishes and plenty of other global flavours round out the mix. Drinks flow from the Fringe Flavours Bar, with choices spanning refreshing cocktails, craft beer, wines and spritzes.
Beyond the food and performances, visitors can explore stalls selling artisan wares, boutique fashion, jewellery and homewares, making it as much a shopping destination as a dining one. For something more intimate, The Sustainable Supper Club hosted by chef Tobie Puttock will offer a zero-waste dining experience for just ten guests per session.
With free entry, the Fringe Flavours Night Market promises a midweek escape filled with creativity, community and plenty of flavour.
