Melbourne’s original and longest-running night market is back, as the Queen Victoria Market prepares to celebrate 25 years of summer evenings filled with sizzling street food, live music and twilight shopping.
The Summer Night Market returns on Wednesday 19 November, running weekly until 11 March 2026 (excluding 24 and 31 December). Each Wednesday from 5pm to 10pm, the iconic open-air sheds will transform into a feast of flavours, sounds and colour, with free entry for all.
More than 50 street food vendors and rotating trucks will take over the market each week, combining returning favourites and new arrivals. Popular regulars include Drums, Entrecôte Steak House with its Parisian steak frites, and The Cypriot Kitchen’s charcoal-grilled souvla. Newcomers include Braz Oz Brazilian BBQ after a sold-out Spring Night Market season, and Frencheese serving snails in butter sauce for adventurous diners.
Dessert lovers can look forward to scoops from Gelato Messina, loukoumades from St. Gerry’s, and seafood treats like popcorn prawns and lobster rolls from George the Fishmonger. New stalls Lisa Bakes, Casa Nata and Oz Waffle will bring everything from cookie pies to pastel de nata and bubble waffles.
To wash it all down, Brick Lane Brewing Co. will be pouring beers alongside mojito slushies and cocktails from Isla Vodka, Compa Tequila and Bella Spritzers. The Traditional Lemonade Stand keeps things classic with fresh-pressed lemonade.
Beyond the food, more than 50 artisan stalls will showcase locally made and globally sourced goods, from minimalist jewellery by Mecino and vintage kimonos from Vintage Japanese Textiles to handmade ceramics, soy candles and crochet accessories.
Live music, roving performers, and DJs from RMIT will keep the energy high each week, while the Taste of Summer pop-up celebrates seasonal produce from market traders.
After 25 years, the formula remains simple: good food, local drinks, live entertainment and the easygoing buzz of a Melbourne summer night.
