Dandenong Market will burst into colour, sound and flavour this February as its Lunar New Year Festival returns for one big day of food, culture and celebration in the heart of Melbourne’s south east.
Taking place on Sunday 22 February 2026 from 10am to 3pm, the free event invites locals and visitors to welcome the Year of the Fire Horse with a lively mix of South-East Asian cuisine, live performances and hands-on family entertainment.
The Market will transform into a feast for the senses, with traders serving up bold, aromatic dishes from across the region. Expect everything from fluffy baos and sizzling grills to vibrant desserts and classic street snacks, all showcasing the diversity that makes South-East Asian food so loved.
Food lovers will want to arrive early for the headline attraction. Celebrity chef Vincent Lim, also known as Dim Sim Lim, The Wolf of Wok Street, will host two live cooking demonstrations from 11:30am to 12pm and 1pm to 1:30pm.
Known for his high-energy style and viral recipes, Vincent will share flavour-packed inspiration, practical tips and plenty of crowd-pleasing moments. Fans will also have the chance to purchase his Wolf of Wok Street Cook Book and popular YumYum Seasoning on the day.
Beyond the food, the festival delivers a full cultural program. DJ Hypnotist will keep the atmosphere buzzing throughout the day, alongside live sets from singer Minhy, traditional Indonesian dance by Sanggar Lestari, a colourful Lion Dance and a graceful Lantern and Ribbon Dance.
