The MCG is gearing up for a blockbuster summer of cricket in 2025–26, with two Sheffield Shield matches joining the schedule alongside Big Bash League and international fixtures.
Victoria will battle Western Australia in a four-day Shield clash from December 4–7, before returning to face Queensland February 5–8, 2026 – a rare Sheffield Shield hosting at the ‘G.
The Melbourne Stars have also secured four home games at the MCG during BBL|15. They’ll start strong against the Hobart Hurricanes on December 18, followed by a cross-town derby with the Renegades on January 4, then face the Sixers and Strikers on January 8 and 13 respectively.
Big-ticket international fixtures remain the jewel in the crown: Australia will face India in a T20 International on October 31, followed by the venerable Boxing Day Test against England from December 26–30, events that shattered attendance records last summer.
Tickets for the T20I and Ashes Test are available now via Ticketek., with domestic schedule details, including BBL matches, coming soon.
With four major cricket events and a full summer lineup, the MCG will once again be the beating heart of Melbourne’s cricket season. Don’t miss your chance to be part of another grand summer of cricket.
