UK glam rock heroes The Darkness are heading back to Australia in 2026 with a brand new album, a renewed sense of purpose, and all the bombast fans have come to expect.
Following the release of their critically adored eighth studio album Dreams On Toast earlier this year – described by Kerrang! as “vintage Darkness with a twist” – the band are bringing a national tour that promises guitar solos, falsetto fireworks, and plenty of leather.
Melburnians will be able to catch them at The Pier Bandroom in Frankston on Friday 6 March and The Forum on Saturday 7 March.
If you missed their 2023 tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut, Permission To Land, now’s your chance to catch them in full flight. Expect all the hits – including ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’, ‘One Way Ticket’ and ‘Love Is Only A Feeling’ – along with fresh cuts from Dreams On Toast, an album that sees frontman Justin Hawkins and co. leaning into big hooks and even bigger choruses.
After a storied journey that’s included platinum records, chart-topping singles, a hiatus, and a triumphant comeback, The Darkness are sounding tighter than ever. Their live show is pure rock ‘n’ roll theatre – equal parts hilarious and electrifying.
Pre-sale kicks off Wednesday 23 July at 11:30am local time, with general tickets available from Monday 28 July at sbmpresents.com. Don’t sleep on this one – it’s going to be loud, fun, and absolutely unmissable.
