The seaside town of Port Fairy is gearing up once again for a long weekend of music, storytelling and connection, with the Port Fairy Folk Festival announcing its second wave of artists for the 2026 edition.
The lineup adds fresh depth to an already impressive program, with acts spanning continents and genres. From the finely wrought harmonies of Canadian duo Basset and the fiddle-charged energy of Inn Echo, to the eclectic California sounds of Rainbow Girls, the festival’s international reach is as strong as ever.
England contributes multiple voices with Chloe Foy’s rich, emotive songwriting, Robbie Cavanagh’s soulful Americana, and the pairing of Dan Webster & Emily Lawler. From the US, acclaimed songwriters Jeffrey Martin and folk icon Willie Watson join the bill.
Closer to home, the lineup celebrates the breadth of Australia’s own voices. Beloved troubadour Darren Hanlon, the sharp-tongued Cartridge Family, and award-winning songwriter Kris Mizzi all return to the stage.

Kasey Chambers headlines as one of the country’s most treasured artists, while blues heavyweight Lloyd Spiegel brings his trio for a commanding live set. First Nations artist Kankawa Nagarra and genre-bending newcomer GK showcase the diversity and strength of contemporary storytelling.
Port Fairy Folk Festival Program Director Justin Rudge said the four-day weekend promises to be filled with unmissable moments of world-class music.
“For the 49th Festival, we’re excited to be presenting a program of wishlist artists from all around the world. From international stars Iron & Wine, Willie Watson, Rainbow Girls and The Swell Season to local legends Kasey Chambers, Emma Donovan and Darren Hanlon, there really is something for every folk music lover.
“We encourage fans and Folkies to secure their tickets and accommodation early as tens of thousands of music lovers will descend upon Port Fairy come Labour Day long weekend!”
The Port Fairy Folk Festival runs 6–9 March 2026. Early Bird tickets are on sale now at portfairyfolkfestival.com.
