Cheeselovers, mark your calendars for the most delicious night of the year: Australia’s first Burrata Festival is touching down at South Melbourne Market on Thursday 30 October 2025, taking over the rooftop car park from 5 pm to 9 pm.
Hosted by the folks behind That’s Amore Cheese, the festival promises a feast of burrata in every form – grilled, fried, drizzled with truffle, and even cheekily served as dessert.
Expect a stellar line-up of stalls from the cream of Melbourne’s cheese scene: Lasagna Lab, UGO Burrata Bar, Cannoleria, Farmer’s Daughters, Pistachio Papi, Zita’s, La Manna, Naturalis Gelato Italiano and Pinto Tiramisu, among others.
Add on the spritzes and wines from Vino Bambino, plus craft beers from Stomping Ground at the Lambretta Bar, and you’ve got a full-on taste explosion under the city sky.
The night will feature live tunes and market flair: expect Italian-flavoured music, a DJ, and roaming entertainers weaving through the crowd. If you’re craving a bit of foodie education, local chefs will be showing off the goods with cooking demos, alongside wine-pairing know-how from Wine Selector.
