After nine years without new music, The Temper Trap are back, and fans won’t want to miss it. The band has announced an exclusive East Coast Australian tour this October, marking a triumphant return for the globally acclaimed indie-rock band.
They’ll perform three intimate shows: Brisbane’s The Princess Theatre on Friday 24 October, Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Saturday 25 October, and Sydney’s Liberty Hall on Sunday 26 October.
The band’s new single, ‘Lucky Dimes’, showcases a bolder, heavier edge while staying true to their signature sound. Frontman Dougy Mandagi’s distinctive vocals cut through scuzzy guitars and thumping drumbeats, making the track an instant highlight of their recent live shows.

Their iconic hit ‘Sweet Disposition’ remains a fan favourite, landing #11 in triple j’s Hottest 100 Australian Songs of all time, while recent remixes and a posthumous Mac Miller release have reintroduced The Temper Trap to a global audience.
Since their 2009 debut album Conditions, the band has left a lasting mark on music culture, performing at major festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Primavera, and Laneway. With billions of streams and a reputation for electrifying live shows, their 2025 return promises a thrilling new chapter in a career spanning more than a decade.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday 17 September at 2pm AEST via frontiertouring.com/thetempertrap, with a Frontier members presale starting Monday 15 September at 2pm AEST.
