DARKFIELD will return to Arts Centre Melbourne this summer with its internationally acclaimed immersive theatre experiences INVISIBLE and FLIGHT. Opening on 24 October 2025, the shows will run until 4 January 2026, following a record-breaking Adelaide Fringe season.

INVISIBLE is the latest addition to DARKFIELD’s collection, staged inside a blacked-out, 40ft shipping container transformed into an intimate theatre. The work explores the temptations and dangers of invisibility, inviting audiences to consider whether it is enough to believe we exist, or if we require others as witnesses to our presence. The show unfolds through binaural audio in complete darkness, blurring the line between fantasy and psychopathy.
FLIGHT, an audience favourite, returns alongside INVISIBLE. Inspired by the many worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics, the work presents two realities and outcomes for the same journey, offering the unsettling reassurance that while one version of ourselves may falter, another may have chosen better.

Created by UK artistic directors Glen Neath and David Rosenberg, DARKFIELD experiences place participants inside shipping containers where strange, multi-sensory worlds evolve in pitch-black settings. Using 360-degree sound and precise sensory effects, the shows immerse audiences in psychological landscapes that test perception and courage.
“Following a record-breaking tour across the country, we’re thrilled to be returning to Arts Centre Melbourne with INVISIBLE and can’t wait to see how audiences respond to this latest work,” said Amy Johnson, Realscape Productions.

Produced in Australia by Realscape Productions, DARKFIELD has attracted more than 700,000 participants globally and continues to tour internationally across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
Tickets for INVISIBLE and FLIGHT start from $22 and are available via darkfield.com.au/melbourne. Experiences are recommended for ages 13 and above, with content warnings advised.
