After billing last year’s run as The Final Curtain Tour, legendary British rock outfit The Animals have announced they are heading back to Australia in 2026 with The House of the Rising Sun Tour.
Set to roll through November and December, the band has locked in 16 dates nationwide. Fans can expect a set packed with classics including ‘We Gotta Get Out Of This Place’, ‘Boom Boom’, ‘Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood’, ‘It’s My Life’ and their worldwide number one ‘House of The Rising Sun’, which also lends its name to the tour.
The touring lineup features original member John Steel, joined by Danny Handley, Barney Williams and Norman Helm.
Formed in the 1960s, The Animals became one of the biggest bands in the world and were the second British act after The Beatles to top the US charts with ‘House of the Rising Sun’. Across their career, they released three albums in the UK and five in the US.
In Victoria, they’ll be playing at the Ulumbarra Theatre in Bendigo on Tuesday 24 November 2026 and at the Centre for Performing Arts in Wendouree, Ballarat, on Wednesday 25 November 2026..
Pre-sale tickets go live Wednesday 18 February at 10am AEDT, with general on sale from Friday 20 February at 10am AEDT via metropolistouring.com.
