The award-winning musical The Book of Mormon is coming back to Melbourne and will make its long-awaited return to the Princess Theatre in February 2026.
Its sharp humour and catchy score come from Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the minds behind South Park, and Robert Lopez, the first person to achieve a double EGOT.

The original Australian premiere in 2015 was a cultural phenomenon, smashing sales records during its on-sale period and claiming the Helpmann Award for Best Musical. Now, a brand-new cast is set to revive the irreverent comedy that has wowed audiences across Broadway, the West End, and beyond.

Leading the company is Sean Johnston as Elder Price, alongside Nick Cox as Elder Cunningham. Paris Leveque makes her professional debut as Nabulungi, joined by Tom Struik as Elder McKinley, Simbarashe Matshe as Mafala Hatimbi, and Matthew Hamilton as Mission President. Augie Tchantcho reprises his acclaimed role as The General.
Since its Broadway debut in 2011, The Book of Mormon has garnered nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, as well as a Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album.

The show has become a record-breaking global sensation, setting house records at 27 US theatres and breaking sales benchmarks multiple times at New York’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre. Its West End production also set a new box office record for the highest single day of sales in London theatre history.
With direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw alongside Trey Parker, the production is supported by a stellar creative team, including Tony Award-winning designers Scott Pask, Ann Roth, Brian MacDevitt and Brian Ronan.
Tickets to the Melbourne season go on pre-sale from 9:00am, Monday 13 October. Visit www.thebookofmormonmusical.com.au to sign up to the ticket waitlist.
