Torquay is set to host one of the biggest coastal music events of the year when Here Comes The Sun lands at Torquay Common on Saturday 4 April 2026, aligning with the Rip Curl Pro and marking the festival’s most significant east coast moment to date.
The Torquay event opens a three-stop national run for Here Comes The Sun in 2026 and comes via a new partnership with the World Surf League, formally linking live music with Australia’s premier professional surfing events. For locals and visitors already descending on the Surf Coast for Bells Beach, the festival adds a major after-dark drawcard to an already packed weekend.
The Torquay line-up features a stacked all-Australian bill led by Lime Cordiale, The Jungle Giants, Young Franco and Sycco, alongside Eliza & The Delusionals and rising star Mariae Cassandra, with more artists still to be announced. The carefully curated program mirrors the laid-back energy of the coast while delivering big-name festival punch.
WSL APAC President Andrew Stark said “WSL are stoked to partner with the Here Comes the Sun Festival to combine our iconic WSL Championship Tour events in Australia with an exciting music festival experience. Music and surfing have always shared an authentic fit and this partnership will continue to bring this to life at our icon events.”
Festival director Ross Macpherson said the Torquay expansion was a natural evolution. “The World Surf League had witnessed our events over the years in Margaret River, but more so when we expanded into Torquay in 2024 with Ocean Alley and Ball Park Music at the top of the bill,” he said. “
Aligning with music events is a part of WSL’s goals for 2026 and beyond. Given its relationship with surfing and coastal communities, Here Comes The Sun was a natural fit.”
With generous space, strong infrastructure and a focus on comfort and safety, the Torquay show positions itself as a premium coastal festival experience, blending surf culture, live music and the unmistakable energy of a Bells Beach weekend.
