lly is heading back on the road to celebrate one of the most defining Australian hip hop albums of the 2010s, marking a decade since Two Degrees first topped the charts.
The Two Degrees 10th Anniversary Tour will see the Melbourne rapper perform the ARIA number one record in full, revisiting tracks that haven’t been played live since 2016. That includes fan favourites Papercuts, Catch 22, Oh My and Hazard To Myself, songs that helped shape a generation of local music fans.
He’ll kick the tour off at 170 Russell on Saturday 7 June.
Originally released in 2015, Two Degrees marked a major turning point in Illy’s career. The album launched a run of three consecutive chart-topping releases and cemented his place as one of Australia’s most successful crossover hip hop artists.
Now, ten years on, the tour offers a rare chance to hear the record front to back, alongside deeper cuts from his catalogue that long-time fans have been waiting to see return to the stage.
“I’m not one for looking back too often, but this milestone for “Two Degrees” is a moment worth celebrating with the people who it meant something to then, and still does to this day,” Illy said.
“I wouldn’t be here without them, and I look forward to playing ‘Two Degrees’, and some even deeper cuts from the back catalogue, for the first time in a long time, with the people who’ve been with me the longest”.
The announcement follows a major run of shows supporting Hilltop Hoods on their sold-out arena tour, keeping Illy firmly in front of big crowds across the country.
With new music also on the horizon, the anniversary tour lands as both a celebration and a reminder of the depth of his catalogue, bringing together old hits and renewed momentum.
Tickets for the tour are on sale now.
