After a decade-long hiatus, AC/DC is set to electrify Melbourne once again with a monumental performance at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. They last played in Melbourne at Marvel Stadium (then known as Etihad Stadium) in December 2015.
This concert marks Acca Dacca’s triumphant return to their homeland as part of their global ‘Power Up’ tour, celebrating their 2020 album of the same name.
The lineup features iconic members Brian Johnson, Angus Young, Stevie Young, Chris Chaney and Matt Laug, promising a night of high-voltage rock ‘n’ roll.
“A decade in the making – these will be their biggest and loudest shows yet,” touring promoter TEG Van Egmond said.
The MCG, renowned for hosting some of the most significant events in Australia’s cultural history, is expected to be filled to capacity, echoing the energy of past record-breaking concerts.
Joining them on stage will be Melbourne’s own punk-rock sensation, Amyl and the Sniffers.
In 2024, AC/DC launched their Power Up Tour in Europe, selling 1.7 million tickets within the first few days. That number later grew to over 2 million tickets across 24 shows. They recently wrapped up 10 sold-out concerts in North America and have another 15 shows scheduled in Europe before heading back to Australia.
Tickets will go on sale this Thursday, 26 June, with release times varying by city. For all ticket details, visit tegvanegmond.com.
