The AFL has revealed a major boost to its 2025 Grand Final entertainment, adding a wave of Australian artists to join headline act Snoop Dogg at the MCG on Saturday 27 September.
Leading the charge is Tash Sultana, who will take to the stage as part of Snoop Dogg’s band. The Melbourne multi-instrumentalist is tipped for a “show-stopping guitar performance.”
They said, “It’s not every day you get chosen to join Snoop’s band and perform at the AFL Grand Final in front of 100,000 people, with millions more tuning in around the world.”
Baker Boy will also step into the spotlight, performing alongside a powerful choir of artists including Emma Donovan and Kee’ahn.
Promoting his upcoming album DJANDJAY, he reflected on the honour of returning to the Grand Final stage. “When I performed in Perth in 2021, I thought it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so I’m thrilled to be on the line-up again and to share the stage with Snoop and my fellow Aussies. It’s gonna be huge!”
Vera Blue has been announced to perform the National Anthem, calling it “incredibly honoured to be given the opportunity… The AFL Grand Final is the pinnacle of our national sporting calendar, and I’m so proud to be part of such a significant moment.”
The annual favourite Mike Brady also returns, alongside the expanded local line-up.
AFL Executive General Manager, Customer and Commercial, Bec Haagsma, said the organisation is thrilled to showcase “a stellar line-up of homegrown stars” with thanks to long-time partner Telstra.
Telstra Executive Brent Smart added the performers “reflect the passion and energy of the game” and will set the stage for an unforgettable day.
Pre-game entertainment begins at 1:30 pm AEST, live on Channel 7 and 7plus.
