Jeff Goldblum has been many things on screen, but away from the cameras he has spent the past three decades immersed in jazz piano. Long before it became a talking point, music was already part of his life, and now it takes centre stage as he brings The Night Blooms World Tour to Australia.
The tour supports Goldblum’s forthcoming album Night Blooms, due for release on June 5 via Universal’s relaunched Fontana label. It follows 2025’s Still Blooming, which made a serious impression on the charts, debuting at number one on the UK Jazz and Blues Albums Chart and landing inside the UK Top 10 overall. For an artist better known for film than music, the response confirmed that his jazz career is no novelty act.
Melbourne audiences will be able to catch him at The Palais in St Kilda on 24 April 2026.
On stage, audiences can expect a relaxed and generous set drawing from classic jazz standards alongside selections from the new record. Goldblum performs with his long-time collaborators, The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, bringing a loose, conversational energy that feels more late-night club than formal concert hall. There is plenty of banter, unexpected turns and the unmistakable sense that anything could happen, including Goldblum stepping up to the microphone for the occasional vocal.
A highlight of the Australian run will be a one-night-only performance at the Sydney Opera House. For this special show, Goldblum and his orchestra will be joined by The Metropolitan Orchestra under the direction of conductor Sarah-Grace Williams, adding a symphonic layer to the jazz foundation.
You do not need to be a devoted jazz fan to enjoy the experience. This tour plays to the same curiosity and charm that have defined Goldblum’s screen career, translating it into a live musical setting that feels playful, stylish and slightly unpredictable.
