Dorsett Melbourne is marking Mother’s Day this May with a carefully curated high tea experience, created in partnership with local favourite T6 Pâtisserie. Set for Sunday 10 May in the heart of the CBD, the event offers a polished yet welcoming setting suited to both intimate catchups and larger family gatherings.

The collaboration brings together Dorsett’s in-house pastry team and T6 Pâtisserie’s head pastry chef Tommy Er, resulting in a menu that blends classic high tea elements with a modern edge. Drawing on French technique and Southeast Asian influence, the offering leans into flavour, detail and seasonality without losing the comfort people expect from a traditional spread.
Guests can expect a generous two-tiered stand featuring warm scones with jam and cream, ribbon sandwiches and buttery pastries, alongside a selection of refined sweets that play with texture and balance. It is a mix that feels familiar but still offers a few surprises along the way. Free-flowing beverages are included, with T2 loose leaf teas, coffee and hot chocolate available throughout the afternoon.

On arrival, adult guests will be welcomed with a glass of bubbles, adding a celebratory note from the outset. The overall experience is designed to feel relaxed but considered, with small details contributing to the mood.
From the setting to the menu, the focus is on creating a moment to pause and connect. It is a simple idea done well, offering a thoughtful way to recognise the women who hold families together.
