The blooms are on show usually until early October, and come in an an assortment of sizes, colours and blooming times. This year marks the 20th year of the display.
As well as the stunning tulips, there’s more than 50 other events and experiences to choose from in the Bloom spring program. this includes food and wine events, performing arts and gallery exhibitions. This year there will also be a gnome hunt and night time activations.
A new multimedia installation celebrating the Bloom Festival has been unveiled in the Bendigo Visitor Centre this week, where it will remain until Sunday November 12.
Symbiotic Pulse is a multimedia installation with its own circadian rhythms that can be seen at all times of the day and night.
Created by local artist Paul Fletcher, it features kinetic sculpture and silhouettes during the day and animated light and projection by night.
There is also an embedded augmented reality experience that can be enjoyed by all.
