Mega news for Taylor Swift’s fans! If you are one of the millions of Swifties who missed out on scoring tickets to her February 2024 Melbourne Eras Tour concerts – or even if you did manage to snag one -you’ll soon be able to see the concert on a movie screen near you.
Taylor has just announced on Instagram that the The Eras Tour concert film will be released worldwide on 13 October 2023 – including in Australia.
“The tour isn’t the only thing we’re taking worldwide,’ she said on Insta.
“Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theaters WORLDWIDE on Oct 13!”
When the concert film was originally announced, it was only going to be available on screens in North America. Today’s announcement will see it screening in more than 100 countries.
“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon,” she shared.
Taylor is encouraging her fans to go all out at the movie screenings, jus like they would at an actual concert: “Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged 1, 2, 3 LGB!!!! (iykyk).”
The film was made over three days at concerts in Los Angeles this year.
It’s expected the film will be just as in demand as the concerts themselves, so bookings will be essential. Australian cinemas are already starting to sell tickets for 13 October and beyond. You can find out more about where to see it near you here.
