Indulge in a profound meditative sound bath workshop as part of the Wellbeing Within program at the Immigration Museum.
Every Wednesday throughout October and November, you can discover the means to unwind, revitalise, and enhance your overall well-being through the practice of meditative sound baths.
Step away from the demands of your daily routine and set out on a journey of transformation, guided by serene soundscapes that will engage your senses and bring tranquility to your soul.
A meditation sound bath is a therapeutic and immersive experience that combines meditation with sound therapy. During a sound bath session, participants typically lie down or sit comfortably in a relaxed position. A facilitator, often using instruments like singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other sound-producing devices, creates a soothing and harmonious auditory environment.
As the facilitator plays these instruments, the sound waves and vibrations wash over the participants, enveloping them in a rich and diverse auditory landscape. The goal is to induce a deep state of relaxation, meditation, and mindfulness.
To ensure your comfort, please remember to bring your personal yoga mat, cushion, blanket, and eye mask. Arriving 10 to 15 minutes ahead of time will allow you to settle in fully before the session begins.
