Get ready for Triennial EXTRA – a fantastic, free after-hours festival at the National Gallery of Victoria from January 19 to 28, 2024!
Running over 10 nights, this immersive experience offers a mix of gallery activations, performances, artist talks, and DJ sets.
Artists, performers, DJs, and creatives bring fresh and thought-provoking experiences each night, responding to the NGV’s blockbuster exhibition, Triennial.
With live music, spoken word poetry, and dance celebrating the talents of the African diaspora, curated by Candy Bowers, and captivating installations like the Melbourne Tennis Ball Exchange by David Shrigley, the festival promises a vibrant atmosphere.
Richard Lewer’s Confessions invites visitors to share dreams and reflections, while Franziska Furter’s carpet transforms into a stage for performances by Alchemy Consort. With DJ sets from Sui Zhen, RONA, C.FRIM, and IN2STELLAR, the festival transforms into a lively dancefloor from 9-11pm nightly.
