Get ready, Bluey fans, because Bunnings is turning some of its stores into a real-life ‘Hammerbarn’! Six Bunnings locations across Australia and one in New Zealand are undergoing a makeover inspired by the fan-favourite Bluey episode from Season 2.
In Victoria, you can have the Hammerbarn experience at Bunnings’ Carrum Downs store throughout February. This isn’t just a subtle nod; it’s a full-blown transformation on the outside as the store will be rebranded with the Hammerbarn name and logo on the outside.
In the season 2 episode “Hammerbarn”, the Heeler family explores a Bunnings-inspired warehouse during an outing to purchase a pizza oven. Throughout their shopping adventure in the hardware haven, Bluey and Bingo, with trolleys in tow, playfully construct imaginary houses and envision charming garden gnome companions named Gerald and Hecuba.
Whether you can make it to the Carrum Downs store or not, the Bluey takeover fun will be at other Bunnings stores nationally, with exclusive Bluey products, including those adorable garden gnomes featured in the ‘Hammerbarn’ episode. Pet toys, craft kits, and limited-edition Hammerbarn branded merchandise are also making their debut.
Bunnings is also rolling out the blue carpet for Bluey-themed DIY workshops every weekend in February so the little ones can get hands-on with projects inspired by their favourite cartoon. Wackadoo!
