This magical makeover has taken place for the recent filming of Ice Road 2: Road to the Sky – the sequel to the 2021 action-packed film The Ice Road featuring the legendary Liam Neeson. In this installment, Neeson’s character, Mike McCann, goes on a thrilling adventure through the treacherous mountains of Nepal.
A few weeks back there was a real frenzy among Gippsland locals and tourists alike to try and catch a glimpse of the Hollywood star.
While Neeson and the rest of the cast and crew havenow moved on, the transformation of Walhalla is still in place – you have a few weeks to explore this unique fusion of Australian charm and Nepali flair before the town returns to its original state.
