The Hawker 88 Night Market will return to the iconic Queen Vic Market sheds for an exclusive five-week season showcasing traditional Asian street eats, quirky general merchandise and specially themed weekly entertainment.
Watch as the Market transforms into a vibrant hawker-style street market, boasting long communal tables, a canopy of hanging lanterns, traditional Lucky Cat decorations, and vivid neon lights.
The Hawker 88 Night Market will showcase Melbourne’s rich and diverse Asian culture through:
- Food vendors providing a wide range of street foods with a focus on Asian cuisines, all prepared and cooked fresh on-site
- Fashion and artisan stalls offering a diverse product mix
- Live entertainment with roving artists and performers, as well as themed nights.

- Wednesday 10 April – All Asia Night: Begin the season with classic and contemporary performances, featuring exhilarating lion dancing. Afterwards, join in a dumpling eating contest.
- Wednesday 17 April – Southeast Asia Durian Night: Immerse yourself in the aromatic scents and rich flavors of Southeast Asia as you engage in a bold Durian eating challenge, accompanied by vibrant Malay dance performances and dynamic martial arts demonstrations
- Wednesday 24 April – Oriental Night: Be enchanted by mesmerising K-Pop dance routines, captivating Japanese cultural band performances, and breathtaking Taiko drumming displays..
- Wednesday 1 May – Island Night: Celebrate the diversity of Asian islands with performances by a Filipino band, Bollywood dancing, and various cultural displays. Join in a skewer eating competition and beer pong contest to showcase your skills. Winners will advance to the finals at the Full Moon Festival.
- Wednesday 8 May – Full Moon Festival: Say goodbye to the season with flair at a Full Moon Festival bash. Enjoy tunes from a DJ and soulful melodies from a Filipino band on the Market’s live stage. Then, jump into the finals of the beer pong tournament.
The Hawker 88 Night Market will be a fully licensed venue with Asian themed beverages.
