ReSound Music Festival in Geelong and The Bellarine is set to ignite excitement in music fans and boost the profile of local and Australian artists.
The free microfestivals will champion homegrown talent across two dates and locations, set against the picturesque backdrop of Ocean Grove on Saturday 1 June and the bustling cityscape of central Geelong on Saturday 22 June.
Artists Leah Senior, Bec Goring, Ella Sweeney, Nathan Seeckts and Winksy are among the artists set to wow audiences as part of ReSound.
Locations in Ocean Grove will include Blackman’s Beers & Burger Bar, The Driftwood Café, KALA, Bookgrove and The Piping Hot Chicken Shop. The Hot Chicken Project, Lou’s Pizza & Wine, Medusa, Murran Hub, Pistol Pete’s Food n Blues and Popcultcha Records & Books will host musicians in central Geelong.
City of Geelong Mayor Trent Sullivan said attendees can expect dynamic performers spanning various genres that showcase a rich diversity of musical talent.
“Be sure to mark your calendars for the first ever ReSound Music Festival in June where you’ll hear distinctive tunes in unlikely venues and businesses around Greater Geelong, and find a new favourite musical act,” Cr Sullivan said.
These free live music microfestivals are set to contribute to the vibrant cultural tapestry of our community while supporting musicians and local businesses,” he said.
The full lineup and details will be announced in May. Up to date details and artist bios can be found at geelong.link/ReSound.
