The Teskey Brothers are gearing up to headline their inaugural A Day on the Green tour across Australia in January 2025. The highly anticipated series of outdoor concerts will also showcase an eclectic lineup of both international and Australian artists, including Band of Horses, Sierra Ferrell, CMAT, and Charlie Needs Braces.
Hailing from Warrandyte in Melbourne’s east, The Teskey Brothers have captivated audiences with their soulful blend of blues, channeling the spirit of Motown with their own unique twist. Celebrated for their powerful vocals and instrumental skills, they recently won the prestigious Songwriter of the Year award at the APRA Music Awards.
This tour marks a significant homecoming after an extensive year of international performances across the US, UK, Europe, and various major festivals. Their latest album, ‘The Winding Way,’ was a critical and commercial triumph, debuting at number one on the ARIA charts and earning numerous accolades.
Joining them will be Band of Horses, who will be making their first Australian appearance since 2016. Known for their emotionally charged indie rock, they have a strong following both in Australia and abroad.
Sierra Ferrell, known for her genre-blending style in country and roots music, will add her enchanting vocals to the mix. Irish artist CMAT, whose debut album won the Choice Music Award for Irish Album of the Year, will bring her distinctive blend of indie-pop and country to the stage.
Melbourne’s own Charlie Needs Braces, also known as Charlie Woods, will round out the lineup with her unique live looping and traditional songwriting, earning recognition as a proud Guringai woman with the Archie Roach Foundation Award for Emerging Talent through Music Victoria.
A Day on the Green is a licensed all-ages event. BYO alcohol is not permitted. Food will be available on-site or you can bring your own. Children under 12 can enter for free in the GA Lawn area only. Patrons under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
