The world-renowned Melbourne Fair returns to Caulfield Racecourse from Thursday 31 July to Sunday 3 August, commemorating a major milestone – 100 years since the birth of Art Deco.

Visitors will discover rare Art Deco jewelry, flapper-era fashion and Egyptian Revival treasures inspired by the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922.
Special highlights include a live Art Deco fashion parade on Saturday 2 August, insightful talks by design authority Claudia Chan Shaw and historian Eleanor Keene, plus original costumes from the upcoming film R.U.R. (Rossum’s Universal Robots). Fashion enthusiasts can compete in the Best Dressed in Vintage competition, with categories for both authentic vintage and reproduction styles.

The Fair’s offerings extend far beyond Art Deco, featuring extraordinary collections that span centuries – from 19th-century Australian gold rush jewelry to imperial Qing Dynasty artifacts and iconic Hollywood wardrobe pieces once worn by screen legends Marilyn Monroe and Katharine Hepburn.

With captivating fashion shows, expert-led discussions and thousands of exquisite items on display, the Melbourne Fair offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience the artistry of bygone eras.
Tickets are now available at themelbournefair.com.au or can be purchased at the venue during the event.
