Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW) is gearing up for its biggest year yet, with the 2025 program set to expand beyond the CBD and into outer metro and regional Victoria for the first time.
Running from 4 to 12 October, the city’s beloved celebration of games culture is heading out on the road, and opening up new worlds of play along the way.
Expect a packed week of playable games, immersive exhibitions, hands-on workshops, and headline events across multiple venues, not just in Melbourne, but across the state.
Long known as the southern hemisphere’s largest digital games celebration, MIGW has become a global drawcard for developers, studios, educators, and gamers of all stripes. In 2025, the event’s growing reputation is matched by a bold new commitment to accessibility, connection, and reach.
Festival favourites are back, including Big Games Night Out at Fed Square and ACMI, High Score’s music and sound design conference, and PAX Aus — the blockbuster expo drawing thousands to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Play Now Melbourne will once again give local developers the chance to pitch to global industry heavyweights, while PAX Rising will spotlight the next wave of homegrown talent.
