The world’s favourite murder mystery is making a dramatic leap from tabletop to theatre. Cluedo will have its Australian premiere at QPAC in Brisbane in January 2026, before heading to Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre in February, Adelaide’s Her Majesty’s Theatre in March, and Sydney’s Theatre Royal in April.
“Continuing our tradition of presenting some of the world’s favourite mysteries on stage including Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None and The Mousetrap, I’m delighted to present the Australian premiere of Cluedo,” said producer John Frost.
“We know audiences love a murder mystery and with Cluedo being one of the world’s best-selling board games with over 150 million games sold in over 40 countries, I know that Australia will delight in seeing the mystery played out live on stage.”
Based on the cult-favourite 1985 film Clue and the classic Hasbro game – ranked the fifth highest-selling board game of all time – this fast-paced, farcical comedy-thriller promises a killer night out. Audiences will meet the eccentric dinner guests Colonel Mustard, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs Peacock, Mr Green and Mrs White at the ominous Boddy Manor. Was it Mrs Peacock in the study with the knife? Or Colonel Mustard in the library with the wrench?
With sharp humour, surprise twists and a pace that keeps you guessing until the final reveal, Cluedo is set to delight mystery lovers, board game fans and anyone who enjoys a laugh with their larceny.
