Gold-plated comedy superstar Tom Gleeson is heading back to where he belongs – on stage, staring down an audience who’ve been invited to take him down a peg. In 2025 and 2026, the host of Hard Quiz and Taskmaster Australia, Gold Logie winner and five-time AACTA Award recipient will crisscross the country for his brand-new stand-up show, Out Of Touch.
As the tour’s title suggests, Gleeson’s leaning into his reputation. “He’s completely out of touch… and his head is up his arse,” reads the tour blurb, setting the tone for a show that promises unapologetic banter and razor-sharp wit.
“I can’t wait to tour Australia with my brand new stand up show,” Tom says. “Performing live is my natural state. If you think the banter on my TV shows is loose, wait until you see me live. I’m probably the only TV star in Australia who’s happy to stand on stage and cop abuse from the audience. Come along and heckle! You never know, you might get the better of me. (You won’t.)”
Kicking off in Wangaratta in October, Out Of Touch will hit dozens of cities and towns including Nunawading, Warrnambool, Warrnambool and a 10-night run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2026.
Gleeson’s comedy credentials are hard to argue with — Hard Chat on ABC’s The Weekly spawned the ratings juggernaut Hard Quiz, now in its 11th season, and Taskmaster Australia is in season six.
