Melbourne’s newest playground of cabaret, cocktails and chaos, Spiegel Haus, is adding fresh energy to its debut season with a trio of new events announced for summer.
The new entertainment precinct is set to open its doors on 29 October with Strut & Fret’s acclaimed Blanc de Blanc Encore, will now host Vaudeville Smash’d, Jazz & Jaffles: Halloween, and the return of Maho Magic Bar across its three-level site on Lonsdale Street.
From 8 November to 6 December, Vaudeville Smash’d brings a five-week Saturday night residency of live music, circus, comedy and cabaret mayhem to the spiegeltent.
Led by Melbourne funk-pop band Vaudeville Smash, the late-night show promises “controlled chaos” with a rotating lineup of acrobats, burlesque performers and theatre-world ringmasters. Expect disco beats, glitter and the kind of unpredictable magic that thrives after dark.
Before that, Jazz & Jaffles: Halloween takes over on 31 October for one night only. Curated by Moor Music Events, the party transforms Spiegel Haus into a “cinematic horror dreamscape” of jazz, soul, broken beat and deep groove. Across two stages, DJs and live acts will soundtrack a costumed, cocktail-fuelled evening running from 7pm to 1am – free to attend, but bookings are essential.
Rounding out the season, Maho Magic Bar returns to Melbourne from 25 November to 15 February 2026, this time on the Spiegel Haus rooftop. The Japanese pop-up bar blends sleight-of-hand sorcery with Tokyo-inspired mixology, delivering a heady mix of mischief, illusion and neon-drenched charm.
