ARIA award-winning Gamilaraay artist Thelma Plum is heading back on the road this July and August with her first ever national acoustic tour, bringing stripped-back performances of her biggest songs to audiences across the country.
The I Don’t Play That Song Anymore Tour will see Plum perform in a duo format, revisiting her catalogue with acoustic guitar in hand and a renewed focus on storytelling, voice and connection. The tour marks a return to the format she first began performing with, but reimagined after years of sold-out shows and award-winning releases.
Audiences can expect an intimate setlist spanning her career, including tracks from the ARIA-winning album I’m Sorry, Now Say It Back, alongside earlier favourites and select deep cuts that have rarely been performed live in recent years.
Speaking about the tour, Plum said “I actually can’t believe that this is the first time I’ve done an acoustic tour. When I started out playing shows it was just me and a guitar, but it’s been a long time since I’ve performed like that.”
” It’s been a big year, I am working on a new record, and it feels like the perfect time to pack up the songbook and play some intimate shows with my friend Toby and let the songs and the stories behind them breathe! I hope to see you at one of the shows!”

The run will take Plum through a wide range of cities and regional centres including Bendigo, Geelong, Warrnambool, Horsham and Richmond, as well as interstate stops in Canberra, Kalgoorlie, Bunbury, Albany, Bellingen, the Gold Coast, Eumundi, Devonport and Hobart.
Her most recent album I’m Sorry, Now Say It Back continued her strong run of acclaim, earning ARIA recognition for Best Pop Release alongside nominations for Album of the Year and Best Solo Artist. The record also delivered standout single Freckles, which earned Rolling Stone Australia’s Best Single Award and a nomination for the Readers Award.
Plum’s earlier breakthrough Better In Blak remains one of the defining Australian albums of the past decade, producing multiple Platinum singles and a top ten finish in the triple j Hottest 100 with Better In Blak, a milestone moment for Indigenous artists in Australia.
The upcoming acoustic tour offers a rare chance to hear these songs in their most stripped-back form, bringing a new level of intimacy to one of Australia’s most celebrated voices. Tickets on sale from 10AM local time Thursday 28 May from thelmaplum.com
