If you spent the mid-2000s with Hey There Delilah on repeat, there’s some good news. Chicago pop-rock favourites Plain White T’s are heading back to Australia this spring for their first headline tour in more than ten years, including a Melbourne show at 170 Russell.
The multi-platinum band will play four dates across the country this October and November, bringing a catalogue of radio staples and singalong anthems back to local stages. Alongside Melbourne, the tour will visit Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.
While Plain White T’s have released multiple albums across their career, it’s Hey There Delilah that continues to resonate with audiences around the world. Nearly two decades after its original release, the acoustic ballad has found a surprising new life thanks to TikTok, introducing the track to a new generation of listeners and helping it return to the ARIA Singles Chart at number 87.

The resurgence has turned what could have been a straightforward nostalgia tour into something broader, bringing together longtime fans who grew up with the song and younger audiences discovering it for the first time.
Melbourne fans can expect a set packed with favourites from the band’s extensive catalogue, delivered by a group that remains one of the defining pop-rock acts of the 2000s.
Joining the tour at every stop will be Adelaide pop-punk duo Teenage Joans. Fresh from a successful UK headline run and appearances at major international showcase festivals including Sound City and The Great Escape, the pair arrive with plenty of momentum. They’ve also shared stages with artists including Biffy Clyro and Hot Mulligan and are set to join the upcoming return of Violent Soho later this year.
For Melbourne audiences, it’s shaping up to be a night that blends nostalgia, pop-punk energy and one of the most enduring songs of the century.
