Long before he became a global stadium headliner, GRAMMY Award winner and one of electronic music’s most recognisable names, Tiësto was helping define the sound of trance music. Now, Australian fans will get the rare chance to experience that era once again when the dance music icon returns in February 2027 for a special trance set at Dreamstate Australia.
The exclusive performance will headline Dreamstate Australia’s biggest edition yet, with the internationally renowned festival returning to Melbourne and Sydney after a breakout year in 2026.

For longtime fans, the announcement is a significant one. While Tiësto’s career has evolved across multiple electronic genres over the past two decades, his early trance productions helped shape a generation of club culture and introduced millions of listeners to the genre around the world. His Dreamstate appearance promises a return to those roots for one night only.
Presented exclusively by Dreamstate Australia, the performance is expected to be one of the most talked-about trance events the country has seen in years.
Originally launched in the United States, Dreamstate has grown into one of the world’s leading trance festival brands and has quickly established itself as Australia’s premier gathering for trance, techno and hard techno fans. The festival is known for its immersive production, featuring large-scale stage design, cutting-edge lasers, spectacular visual effects and line-ups that bring together legendary artists and emerging talent.
Melbourne’s edition will take over Flemington Racecourse on Sunday 7 February 2027, following a Sydney event at Sydney Showground the day before.
With Tiësto leading the charge and more artists still to be announced, Dreamstate Australia 2027 is already shaping up as a must-attend event for electronic music fans.
